This study approaches the relation among two tupi-guarani indian groups, the uru-eu-wau-wau and the juma, which, for historical contingencies, have come to live together. The study aims at describing and characterizing this relationship by investigating the conditions that shaped it and the effects it caused on each of these peoples. More specifically it is intended to explore the way these peoples can offer each other images of alterity. Keywords: Kagwahiva, kinship, inter-ethnic relations.Downloads
