Abstract

This paper stems from an investigation of justice, childhood and human rights, developed from a series of crimes perpetrated against boys aged between eight and 15 years, residents of the city of Altamira, Pará, between the years 1989 and 1993. The case became internationally known as ";the case of emasculated boys."; This article aims to discuss the relationship between police and organized social movement in the city after the crimes, highlighting the process of making speeches and counter speeches, negotiations and concessions at the expense of antagonism between these two fronts.Keywords: Activism, justice, human rights.
