Abstract

The article intends to investigate, in the context of the signature of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, to whom it would be addressed and which would be its purpose. Accordingly, from the conclusion that this document – which establishes the bases for the legal and philosophicalre-construction of the human rights inaugurated by the creation of the UnitedNations – would have as its main purpose the human rights education, the article analyzes how this way of promoting human rights and this expression were translated by ulterior international documents. Finally, by the study of the philosophical grounds and meanings of the principles enunciated by these documents and by the Universal Declaration of Human Rightsitself, looks at human rights education as thinking, formation and rescue of politics, dialoguing mainly with Hannah Arendt. Keywords: education in human rights; Hannah Arendt; Training; Thinking; Politics.
