Mapping studies on Genre: research and teaching tracks

Abstract

Based on a mapping of studies on genre, this study aims to provide a body of basic concepts that serves as a link between theoretical research and teacher practice in the classroom, in order to promote a conscious pedagogical work in the school and productive. We understand that a better understanding of this unit of study by teachers (and not only by researchers) implies a redirection of both the teacher's posture and his classroom practice. After all, what the teacher teaches and how he teaches stems from his understanding of language phenomena. Different conceptions give rise to different practices.
